What Is The Billion Journey Project?
The Billion Journey Project is the UK's largest transport accelerator hub, developed with the ambition of helping start-ups and scale-ups implement their product across the Rail & Bus industry. Powered by the Go-Ahead group, the program offers ambitious business the chance to improve the experience of a billion passenger journeys a year across multi-modal travel.
Based at Hukletree West in White City, London our 8 - 10 week programs offer companies unparalleled access to industry experts, behind the scenes knowledge and advice on how their technology could be delivered across the Go-Ahead group and beyond.
Our History & London Midland Labs
The Billion Journey Project is the second iteration of our rail accelerator program, with the first developed at London Midland as LM Labs. The Lab startup collaboration scheme aimed to partner with innovative startups looking to shake up the customer experience of travel. For startups in the Intelligent Mobility space, this was an unprecedented opportunity to test out their products in a live environment; real data and real customers that they wouldn’t get access to elsewhere.
The inaugural LM Labs Accelerator work with companies across a 12 week period (followed by an additional three months of incubation support/free office space), providing them with the expert mentoring and support they need to progress their businesses and achieve their joint goal of creating the London Midland ambition of 'Simply Better Journeys'.
